Stay In Focus

You physically know what you should do, so let your body perform without restriction.
Do not let your mind start worrying about what to do.

Think good, feel comfortable, a confident approach will be a relaxed approach, which can well create a good result.
Do not let negative thoughts or doubts intrude into your mind.

Focus yourself into a comfortable stance.
Push the ball away, placing it into the swing and let the weight of the ball swing your arm naturally.
The weight of your ball is always the same, it does not change, the less work you have to do the more perfect and natural your swing will be.

Once you start to muscle the ball through, or force the swing, the less freedom your arm has to swing naturally.
A free and natural arm swing creates better ball roll and enables you to be more consistent in your shots.
You need to be in good balance at release, watching your ball roll from the moment it is released until it reaches your target is most important because that is where you can tell whether you have made a good shot or not.
This also allows you to maintain a good knee bend, so good leverage, speed and a good release come without thinking about them.

Concentrate on watching your ball roll through your target ... knowing when you have rolled a good shot or a bad one is so important in making adjustments for the lane condition which may be affecting your shot.
Unless you know this, you cannot expect to be able to string a number of strikes together.

Keep your mind on the one ball you are about to roll.
Do not think about frames already played or frames to come.
Make yourself believe and aware that the first frame is no different from any other frame and the tenth frame is no different than any of the others.

Equally, the first frame of the second game is no different from the last frame of the preceding game.
It is, in fact, merely the eleventh frame in the thirty frame series.
