Ball Cleaning
One aspect most often overlooked by most bowlers is keeping their equipment clean.
A clean surface on a ball, whether it is reactive or urethane, will give a more consistent reaction each time on the lanes.
On the other hand, a ball that is allowed to collect oil will tend to slide more each time out. The newer surfaces on the balls tend to soak the oil more so than older urethane balls.
Do your ball and yourself a favour and invest in a bottle of cleaner or just a plain bottle of isopropyl alcohol.
With these cleaners you will notice a stronger reaction down the lane just as the manufacturer intended.
Examples of ball cleaner : Good Stuff and Squeeky Clean are available from any good ProShop.
